Industrial Scientific Ventis Pro5 — Multi-Gas Personal Monitor
Detect up to five gases simultaneously with team-based alarm sharing and optional cellular or wi-fi connectivity.

The Ventis Pro5 is Industrial Scientific's flagship personal monitor and the default for water and wastewater field crews on confined-space entries and routine plant rounds. The LENS Wireless mesh is the practical reason it wins specifications — when one worker's monitor detects gas, every peer in mesh range alarms simultaneously, which materially shortens evacuation time in collection-system work. The instrument carries a Guaranteed for Life™ warranty from Industrial Scientific.
Where it goes
Confined-space entries — sewers, lift stations, valve vaults. The Ventis Pro5 is the personal multi-gas monitor a worker wears on descent; SCBA, harness, and the rescue rig make up the rest of the entry kit.
Nova stocks the Ventis Pro5 in standard 4-gas and 5-gas configurations alongside the spare sensors, calibration gas, and DSX docking stations that make routine bump-test and calibration cycles manageable across a multi-instrument fleet. Custom sensor configurations and bulk orders ship from Industrial Scientific via Nova within standard manufacturer lead times.
Key features
Sensor menu
Up to 5 gases simultaneously.
Sensor options include LEL combustible, O₂, H₂S, CO, Cl₂, NH₃, NO₂, SO₂, PH₃, HCN, PID, and infrared CO₂/CH₄/HC. Configure per application — confined space, personal monitoring, or specialty industrial.
LENS Wireless mesh
25 peers, 100 m line-of-sight.
LENS™ Wireless mesh shares alarms and gas readings between connected monitors in real time. When one worker's monitor alarms, every peer within mesh range alarms simultaneously — materially shortening evacuation time in collection-system entries.
Connectivity
Optional cellular or wi-fi.
Optional cellular (LTE CAT M1) or wi-fi battery pack streams real-time location and alarm telemetry to a designated safety contact. Useful for lone-worker monitoring and mutual-aid coordination during major events.
Alarm action messages
Single-word "EVACUATE" or "VENTILATE" prompts.
Programmable alarm action messages give workers a single-word instruction the moment a threshold is exceeded. Reduces ambiguity in high-noise or high-stress environments where reading concentrations off a screen is impractical.
Construction
IP68, −40 °C to 50 °C.
Polycarbonate housing with rubber overmold, IP68-rated for 1.5 m submersion. 95 dB alarm at 10 cm, vibration alarm, dedicated panic button. Operates from −40 °C to 50 °C without performance derating.
